Coco is a friendly language learner who loves conversations, shared stories, and connecting with others. Coco uses cochlear implants as tools to access sound and support communication.
What makes Coco special
Coco knows that listening and communicating can look different for different people. Cochlear implants can provide access to sound, but they do not make hearing exactly the same for everyone. Coco may still need repetition, visual information, reduced background noise, or extra time.
How Coco supports the crew
Coco reminds friends to face the person they are speaking with, communicate clearly, and check for understanding. Coco also teaches the crew not to touch another person’s hearing technology without permission.
Coco’s purpose
Coco helps children understand cochlear implants, hearing differences, and respectful communication. Coco shows that connection grows when people listen patiently and make communication accessible to everyone.
